For Immediate Release
Luxury Swiss watchmaker BEDAT & CO GEVENE is delighted to announce the launch of the Novelties 2015 collection
this spring in Tokyo. The highly anticipated launch will take place over a two-days event at The Grand Hyatt, Tokyo,
on 4th March 2015, for retailers and media friends. It will be the first time Novelties 2015 collection being
unveiled continuing the launch success at the first stop- Kuala Lumpur. The second stop of the launch will be held
in Japan followed by other major cities in different countries. BEDAT & CO GENEVE is adapting a diverse strategy
this year whereby the launch of our new collections will be made directly by visiting each continent. By leaving
BEDAT & CO GENEVE point of sale footprint regionally, it drives BEDAT & CO GENEVE to have closer ties with
regional partners besides directly understanding the market.
Asia’s leading Market Expansion Service specialist for luxury watches- DKSH Japan is in charge of BEDAT & CO
GENEVE distribution activities in Japan. DKSH Japan has a long-standing expertise and broad local knowledge in
the area of raising consumer awareness of the appeal and characteristics of the brand, developing markets, and

The Novelties 2015 launch will be co-hosted by Mr. Modolo, who will formally unveil the collection, together with
BEDAT & CO GENEVE Marketing director, Charmaine Low. The second launch for Japanese press will be held on
5th March 2015, where journalists are invited to view the collection over afternoon tea at The Grand Hyatt hotel
in Roppongi.
“I am delighted to be bringing the Novelties 2015 collection to Japan and share the beauty of these designs,” said
Dino Modolo, BEDAT & CO GENEVE’s Director of design. “I’m incredibly proud of the Novelties 2015 collection
which I think encapsulates the spirit of BEDAT & CO GENEVE.”
Koichi Kobayashi, General Manager, DKSH Japan Luxury&Lifestyle, said: “We’re delighted to be launching Novelties
2015 in Tokyo and bringing the new collection to the Japanese luxury watch market. We’re certain that the new
collection will fascinate ladies in Japan and increase fans of BEDAT & CO GENEVE . We will strive to build the
brand loved by many women.”
BEDAT & CO GENEVE prides itself in the new collection where beautiful art deco design and the finest Swiss
watchmaking craftsmanship intertwined. The spectacular Novelties 2015 collection is inspired by the work of art
deco artist Paul Kiss, whose work is renowned for its sweeping feminine curves and the art deco movement that
swept across Europe in the 1920s.
The concept of Art Deco has been the focal of BEDAT & CO GENEVE. Timepieces uphold a prestigious echoing of
this design philosophy and the Novelties 2015 is no exception. Timepieces at BEDAT & CO GENEVE are symbolised
by numbers according to a form of shape. BEDAT & CO GENEVE holds five collections namely 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8,
besides having a line of haute joillerie models called the Extravaganza Collection.
All designs represents the femininity of women and fits the Art deco guide line which is the brand statement design
philosophy. Among two of the timepieces of the Novelties 2015 are worth highlighting, namely the Ref. 727 and
Ref. 728. Both these timepieces are from Collection 7 that features a rectangular-shaped face and it is waisted at 3
o’clock and 9 o’clock. Collection number 7 is tied to the idea of perfection whereby the number 7 symbolises
eternal life in Ancient Egypt, standing for a complete cycle. Both the 727 and 728 functions by the mechanical
automatic movement, has approximately 42-hours power reserve and sealed by the prestigious A.O.S.C
(Appellation d’Origine Suisse Certifiée) label- A guarantee of 100% Swiss made in Switzerland.
The Ref. 727 has dial geometry that has been inspired by the curved beveled case crystal, while the embossed
outside lines contain Roman numeral and the minute track that follows the same geometry. The diamond at each
corner gives a strong BEDAT & CO GENEVE finish to the dial.
The Ref. 728 is inspired by the garden and floral arrangement. It has a dial pattern inspired by graphic pattern used
during the Art Deco period. The power of nature is the tapestry of this timepiece where the geometrical structure
is enhanced and embellished. Similar to the Ref. 727, a diamond is placed on each corner of the dial representing
the brand’s character.
Novelties 2015 also continues the legacy of BEDAT & CO GENEVE founder, Madame Simone Bedat, who sought
to channel the unique aesthetic vision and belief in comfort, emotion and function into a single entity for the wrist.
BEDAT & CO GENEVE from its very conception is dedicated to creating extraordinary designs unique to women.
